Paper Flowers Tutorial

Supplies :
           Scrap Booking Paper
           Ruler
          Scissors
          Hot Glue Gun and Glue
         Quick Dry Paper Glue (I used Elmers Washable Glue Stick)
Elmers Washable Disappearing Purple School Glue

1.       Cut 2 to 4 strips of paper 2" – 5” wide, the full length of the scrap booking paper.



If you want larger flowers cut up to 6/7” wide.

The width of the paper does not have everything to do with the size of the flower. The more strips you add together (to make one large tube) the larger the flower. The width does effect how much of a hole you have in the middle of the flower to cover up.


2.      Fold the paper in a zig-zag from ¼ -1” (larger flowers increase fold size)



3.    Glue folded strips together to make a tube using a quick dry paper glue. I used Elmers Washable Glue Stick and it worked wonderfully.



4.      Cut the outer edge design before gluing the pieces together or after flower is glued flat.




5.      Fold in center to make flower and I glued with hot glue both sides of the center to help keep them flat. Glue center circle to flower.




6.        Cut and glue Tabs of left over paper to the back of each flower so that they are easy attached to the wall by using push pins or Command Velcro products.
