Mirror Tutorial

Supplies Needed:
Wood 1"*4" (6)  & 1"*2"
Wood Stain
Brushes (foam or bristles)
Old Rags
Plastic/ Paper Plate

Determine how much wood you want to show around your mirror. In this case we wanted to show all of the ruff edges above the mirror (around 10") and then about 2" of wood to show at the bottom of the mirror. We bought 6,   1"*4" boards at our local home goods store. We were willing to buy the ruff wood that builders most likely would not want (bark and knots on the boards).

Lay boards outside on covered table and stain desired color. We applied 2 coats with drying time between each coat. Let the wood dry 24 hours before attaching together.

Once dried we attached the 6 boards together on the back with 1"*2" wood strips on the top (about 6" from the top) and bottom (about 6" from the bottom) of wood.

Then attach the mirror to the boards with hooks or screw.
This mirror will add GREAT texture and design to any room.
                                      Love It!!!
