Change the lamp shade you love, to fit your color scheme…
Here’s how… Just paint it!!!
Choose the accent color you are going to have in your dorm room and paint designs on your lamp shade using fabric paints. Either make your own designs like swirls, dots, zig-zag lines, etc. or paint existing designs already on the shade.
In this picture, I have painted green over the existing brown polka dots. I also added green to the bottom fringe to enhance the color.
Now this lamp shade is perfect for this room!
Another simple lamp shade change...
I changed this shade to match my accent color by applying green paint over the existing gold fringe.
